Although after 2 & a half tedious months of working with a lender...I FINALLY was notified of approval. Being so far into the process, it was enough to make anyone believe that is was a set in stone deal. However there was one slight flaw. At this point in time, my Keller Williams agent informed me that contract on the purchase of the home was going to expire in a few days, which was not a big deal and that agents do whatever it takes to get the house closed. This is their primary objective. Therefore, she put in a request for a one week extension to provide the underwriters at the bank the proper amount of time to have the loan completed.

My Keller Williams agent, put my offer in on the home which was accepted by the seller. I wrote the $5,000 earnest money deposit check, spent $400 on the appraisal, and $265 on the inspection.

Susan Campbell Johnson's response however, was to give us an ultimatum. "Get it closed in 3 days, or the house is back out on the market. I've got cash offers now." (Talk about cut throat!) Knowing I was dealing with such unprofessionalism, I decided to take matters into my own hands & approach the owners of the home directly. I went to the City Of Bloomfield Hills, & was given documentation on the name of the person who owned this address. I then googled the owners name- Gabriel Kadoo. I found that he owned a bridal boutique named, Bella Bridal in West Bloomfield. I proceeded to go into the boutique pretending to be interested in purchasing one of the unappealing gowns they had on display. I inquired to the sales person as to whether Gabriel was in that day, and the sales person (who ended up being his spouse), informed me that he was not present although she could assist me. I explained the situation to her, telling her how close we were to closing on the home & pleaded for her to make an extension on the purchase agreement deadline. She informed me that her and Gabriel were leaving the decision in Susan Campbell Johnson's hands and that they wanted absolutely nothing to do with calling any shots. That this is what they had hired her for.

As people may be aware, the mortgage industry has become extremely perplex after the market crashed back in 2008. More than ever, people have been hurdling through hoops to get approved...causing the process to really impede on the time frame of the purchase.

Long story short, the house is now back out on the market two weeks later. Where are the cash offers? I received my $5,000 check back, although I am out $665 between the appraisal and inspection. Shame on SKBK Sotheby's for mismanaging this deal and wasting my time. The most despicable part is that Susan Campbell Johnson actually had the audacity to inform my Keller Williams agent that I am welcome to put in an offer and start the process all over again. Not only would I never put an offer on this property again, although as my house hunt starts back up at square one...I will never step foot into a property again if I see a SKBK Sotheby's sign in the front lawn of a home.

As a last resort, I contacted my Keller Williams agent & offered an additional $1,000 cash to present to Susan Campbell Johnson as an incentive to extend the contract, (in addition to the commission she would already be making off of the sale of the home.) She declined this as well.

Brandon Curry, huge ego ,inconsiderate

After working with listing agent Susan Campbell Johnson for 2 & a half months on a Bloomfield Hills home, I am in absolute disgust and awe. Her license should be declared illegal.

I couldn't have asked for a better realtor. Kimberly was a always readily available to answer my questions and concerns. Highly recommended!

Signature Sotheby's is wonderful! Knowledgeable agents working hard for their clients. Soon to be 3 offices in the Metro area to assist with buying, selling or questions you may have. Birmingham, Bloomfield and very soon Northville - you can't go wrong with Signature on your side!

I recently had the great opportunity to work with Susan Campbell Johnson of SKBK Sotheby's Int'l Realty and can tell you first hand that she is a skilled professional Realtor that not only takes a personal interest in her clients, she cares. She went out of the way for me and helped me with all of my issues no matter how trivial, a true hand-holder as an agent. I would work with Susan again and will recommend her to all of my associates that need a luxury home in the Tri-county Michigan area.
