Took my cat in that was really sick.. 2 of the heavier set girls seemed so rude about customers. Rolling their eyes, complaining. Saw this dr carson lady, one if the girls that were talking on the phone with a customer needed to talk to dr carson so they called her over and she said "thats not my name" like she was annoyed. If you dont like helping animals find a different job. Lucky i got this older lady receptionist in all maroon. She was really nice. My cat saw dr Thompson, she did great. She was really caring, did a lot for my cat, i really appreciated her helping me out and followed up with me 2 days later. She would of follwed up with me the next day but she wasnt at work. I was really glad i got that doctor. If i ever need to come back or if anyone goes there i would recommend dr thompson!
Always helpful and cared for our cat when she was very ill. She’s home and healthy again. Be ready to wait bc there are no appointments but we keep going back bc they take the time to do it right. Thanks!
I've been taking my two dogs and three cats here since we moved to north Royal Oak in 2012. I've never had a problem of any kind. They've worked with me on payment plans when my dog slashed her paw open and had to have an expensive operation as well as other times. I have a reactive German Shepherd and they let me wait in the car with her, then bring her in the back way. Every vet I've seen has been thorough, knowledgeable, and friendly as are the rest of the staff. Highly recommend.

Lack of continuity, pets are assigned whomever is available at a walk-in appointment (no scheduled appointments), vet visits with a specific vet with the hospital are possible, but more difficult to achieve
Cons
This place is awful. Front desk staff is rude, and the last time I brought my dog in she was in really bad shape and they refused to see her because another family member in my household (although we are on separate accounts) owed money from a previous treatment. Even though they saw how bad my dog looked, they still refused to help her. Zero compassion at this place, but if you want a great clinic with very polite and helpful staff who actually care and will help, I highly recommend Kimball Animal Hospital in Clawson.
Extremely good vet services from medicine to pharmacy, surgery, urgent care visits, grooming, and dental work. Very affordable. Staff is very kind and effective
