I was amazed that the owner of Birmingham Heating and Cooling reached out to me after my post and corrected the issue. I know that disputes happen, but the owner took the time to listen to me and solve my concern. He exceeded my expectations regarding the lien placed on my house; given that the owner responded to me and personally solved my concerns, I would feel comfortable having them complete work on my home again. I had an insurance claim and the company (MJ White and Sons) I used subcontracted some of the work to Birmingham Heating and Cooling. Shortly after the work was completed I received a bill from Birmingham saying that they rebuilt my toilet and that I was responsible for the repairs. I called the company and told them that they did not do the work that they said they did and I was told not to worry about the bill. Totally dishonest. I also told them that they only removed and reset the toilet, which is what they were supposed to do and they were paid for their service and that after it was reset, I went to Home Depot and rebuilt the toilet myself. Today I found that they filed a Constitution Lien on my property. I called MJ White and was told that they have been having problems with Birmingham Heating and Cooling filing liens on homes for services that they were paid for. I would strongly advise anyone not to use this company.
John the plumber did an outstanding job fixing a botched job from previous plumbers. He was able to revive our old laundry tub pump motor saving us a good chunk of money. He fixed leaks, a faucet and got everything working correctly. He even made sure there were no gas leaks by the dryer and in the basement. Very knowledgeable, polite, we are very pleased with everything.
