Staff is amazing, the facility is spotlessly clean, the workouts are easily customized to your level of intensity.

Orangetheory is the best workout! It's fun and challenging. The one hour classes are a great combination of strength training and cardio

All but one member of the staff (wish I had her name but I don't, she was African American and so kind!) were incredibly rude. They were not welcoming or supportive and provided limited direction during class. I was told to arrive 30 minutes prior to class, despite knowing how to use basic gym equipment. I was greeted with scorn and irritation. Despite it being a HUGE deal that I only arrived 20 minutes early, not 30, they didn't even ask for my ID to verify my identity etc. Furthermore, it took them less than 5 minutes to go through the instructions; all they were worried about was their liability. The music was not motivating nor was the instructor. I complained to friends and family after the class and shared my negative experience, many of them said they had similar experiences. Thankfully I found far superior options elsewhere in Birmingham.

A well organized and motivating workout. The workout primarily focuses on the large muscles of the body: legs and back, in an aerobic framework. So you build functional muscles, a strong core, and cardio-vascular strength. The constant visual feedback, in-person coaching, and group dynamics keep you working at your maximum for a full hour.

This is the BEST workout to get you out of your comfort zone and really focus on building strength and endurance! I love how it goes by so fast even though it's a really challenging workout, because you are rotating through the Treadmill, Rower, and the Weight floor. There is a coach walking you through everything BUT you're going at your own pace while being challenged- but the room is dark and everyone is doing their own thing so it's the ONE place I don't have that normal gym anxiety of everyone watching me work out! The fact that you have to book ahead of time (and lose the class if you cancel or get charged!) is awesome accountability and has been a huge part of my personal growth and success this past year- you can't just wake up at 5:45am and decide not to go!! Note: it's necessary to plan ahead (5 days to a week) in order to get the classes you want!
